Being that she played the original now im curious how she will handle this. She did start with remake so there isnt that comparison, but there are the unadapted moments comparison. She doesn't come across as the analytical gamer type. I didn't see her upload a DMC2 vid so I assumed she either skipped based on chat or tried it and saw how bad it was. I foresee her enjoying this one despite the issues.

Your reactions were pretty much the same as mine, although I was already crying at the title screen. The music in FF7R just hits hard and stirs up all the emotions - usually all at once. 😅

At that point where Sparda's power consumes Arkham's body and he transforms into a multi limbed blob, then you do find yourself staring at a backed up toilet.

I like the ending cutscene after the Vergil playthrough. It implies the possibility of him crossing paths with his grandchildren.

Hi Louiseyhannah, I had a lot of inner struggles before I wanted to give you this message. I wanted to tell you about a secret of mine. It's a long story. I was Prince Noctis' substitute in my past lives. The original Prince Noctis killed too many supernatural monsters that it doomed him to hell, and he couldn't reincarnate. In addition, other kings only knew how to do politician work, but didn't know how to be a soldier. So, other kings didn't want to do this mission of saving humanity. Therefore, other kings didn't want to reincarnate as Prince Noctis. How did I know about my past lives? It's a long story, but my mind is connected with supernatural monsters, and they gave me back memories of my past lives. Anyhow, there were Buddhist monks, and Buddhist deities that were going to volunteer to substitute Prince Noctis, but I volunteered first because I needed to redeem myself, and I had a strong bond with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who could help me complete the mission. So, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva reincarnated as Lady Lunafreya. She was both a princess, a divine priestess, and an oracle. She was a super powerful lady, but the game producers didn't want her to be a Mary Sue. So, they didn't tell the players that Luna was also a princess. Anyway, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva was doomed to be murdered by Ardyn because she helped out the humans' war against the supernatural monsters, and that angered the supernatural monsters. So, the supernatural monsters sent their leader, who was Ardyn, an evil supernatural shapeshifting monster, to murder Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. He had to be destroyed both physically and spiritually because he was a super evil supernatural monster that could still haunt and hurt people after he was killed physically, in his spiritual form. So, that's why Noctis had to die and went to the spiritual world to destroy Ardyn's soul again. Anyways, because Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva was a deity, and couldn't kill supernatural monsters to cleanse the world of supernatural beings, so I fulfilled that role for her. If that makes sense to you. By the way, Buddha and Bodhisattvas also sent their disciples who were also deities to assist with this war. So, we got a lot of comrades. Cindy and Aera were a few of them. I got a mental message from the Supernatural World God to tell people the truth. So, that's everything, I think. I really like your analysis of the games multiple endings and how in how endings he could be seen as quite selfish, some more than others. (Maria ending being most selfish and leave being the least) I feel that James' selfishness was hinted at through a puzzle in the prison where you have to find three medallions titled the glutton, the seductress, and the oppressor, each medallion representing one of the characters in the game those being Eddie, Angela, and James. Eddie is the glutton, Angela in a messed up way is the seductress, and James is the oppressor. When James picks up the oppressor medallion he even gets locked in the cell for a few seconds too. James is the oppressor of Mary as he selfishly took her life from her and in other endings is selfishly trying to bring her back from the dead just for him. Mary has no control to what happens to her. This can also be reflected through the countless deaths of Maria who died over and over again by the hands of pyramid head representing how James killed Mary.

This has to be one of the most satisfying SH2 playthroughs I’ve seen (I’ve seen a lot) - you’re paying attention and thinking, so you’re not missing all the beautiful detail, so naturally you join the ranks of people who adore this game. It’s also edited really well and I had a good laugh at your suggestion of drinking the thinner! 😂 Loved reading your thoughts at the end too - this is what this game will do to you. Now that it’s gotten into your brain, it’ll never leave. You’ve even made me think about some things a bit differently. We still weren’t thinking much about the experiences of women in society when I first played this game, so I didn’t think about James’ selfishness the same way as you. In fact, I related to him a little bit. I’m familiar with the internal struggle of dealing with the illness of loved ones - the desire to enjoy life again, and the inevitable guilt of wanting that and thinking of your needs instead of the one suffering with illness. I really felt for James, still do. Yes, Mary was the one who was ill and suffering, but James’ suffering - watching the person he loves die slowly, painfully, and watching the personality of that person change along with it - that suffering is valid too, and you feel guilty for suffering because there’s “nothing wrong” with you. It almost feels cruel, because there’s nothing physically stopping you from doing whatever you want, but how can you? This is why I like the In Water ending so much - your life is taken passively, so… ? Anyway! Great video! 😅

SH2 is a mega classic for a reason. Can you imagine that this gem was one of the PS2's flagship titles back in 2001? And the influence it had on the genre and people in general... I just reeeally wish more people would start with the SH1 instead of jumping straight to the sequel. In my opinion, it's both the better introduction to world of Silent Hill, and the better horror game to boot. A bit bummer you just UA-camd rest of the endings, since these games do have a pile of replay value even without the half a dozen different outcomes.

After playing the first four games for the first time recently i’ve been watching people’s playthrough of the game and I definitely think yours is my favorite so far. Not gonna name names but someone else i watched just didn’t care about thinking about the game and what’s going on at all and didn’t even bother to stop and listen to the James and Mary conversation in the long hallway and even started complaining about the letter at the end being long. It was aggravating as hell, so it was nice to hear you actually discuss your thoughts as you played and what you thought of it all, i hope you play the other ones sometime!! EDIT: Also wait are you gonna play Born From a Wish? It makes Maria even more interesting, you should absolutely play it, it’s barely an hour long

hey! if you’re interested in reading fanfiction of this game, i have just the thing for you. as it turns out, the ending in the videogame is not canon. There is an officially released novel titled “Final Fantasy XV: Dawn of the Future” that completely retcons the ending, giving it a much happier tone. also, Ardyn isn’t the true villain. i wont spoil it for you, in case you decide to buy and read it, or maybe find a free copy online. basically, there was a cancelled season of dlc for the game that was going to change the ending. four episodes: episode Ardyn, Aranaya, Lunafreya, and Noctis. they ran out of budget and had to cancel all of them save for episode Ardyn, which you can play. despite the fact that they ran out of budget, the team was still determined to retcon the ending, so they released novelized versions of the 3 cancelled dlc plus episode ardyn, and you can read it. there’s tons of concept art at the back of the book, and it’s really cool to see what the game could have been like if square enix had given them more budget… or if Tetsuya Nomura hadn’t blown half of the budget on stuff that all got scrapped, lol. if you choose to read it, i’d love to hear what you think! i know this video is already years old, but i really love this game and the book and wanna hear what other people think about it

There is a book that was supposed to be the real final dlc with the true ending, the happy end. With the true final boss, and noctis and luna having children. It should have been added ingame but they couldnt. And plot twist, u should have played as Luna in-game, as a fighter. Book name is "dawn of the future." It's canon.

Definitely caught me by suprise when it first came out because I had never played a Phoenix Wright game or heard of Danganronpa so I was so drawn in by the premise lol
